We have been delivering incredible UAVs to clients for more than 10 years. See some of our highlighted projects below.

The Ask: A large defense Prime needed us to rapidly develop a fiber-controlled UAV platform to deliver a 5lb payload 10km in an undetectable, unjammable UAV, for demonstrations are an exercise in less than three months.

Result: From initial requirements to flight-tested prototypes delivered in just 46 days - Flyt delivered a platform that exceeded the mission requirements and was successfully demonstrated at several DoD test ranges and events. At these events it was also successfully tested against a variety of counter UAS (CUAS) systems, with none able to affect the UAV. The project is now being scaled for production.

Fiber-Controller UAV System (Defender 2)

The Ask: A commercial company asked Flyt to design and build a UAV capable of flying a payload that would allow it to fly indefinitely by charging its battery while flying above a transmitter.

Result: Success required meeting extremely low power consumption metrics coupled with tight position control to hold position in the power beam. Flyt is successfully delivering a UAV capable that meets these extremely difficult requirements, requiring exceptional engineering and development of custom electronics to meet their weight and efficiency targets.

Wireless power UAV

The Ask: The US Marine Corp asked Flyt to develop a low-cost, multi-mission UAS to handle a variety of missions and reduce their operating costs. Essentially, they wanted a Swiss Army Knife for a variety of MP and Embassy security tasks with the ability to carry payloads of up to 5lbs.

Result: The Defender X4E platform was developed and delivered in three months, being built from 95% US-made parts, a rapid swap payload bay, highly modular design for field repairs, custom LED lighting, and a compact folding design for ease of transport. It utilized encrypted communications for contested environments and a tablet controller for ease of use.

Indoor 3D Mapping UAV

The Ask: Flyt was tasked with building the best UAV for indoor 3D mapping by a government agency. The objective was to be able to map large, potentially dangerous structures without risking First Responders’ safety.

Result: Flyt developed multiple unique solutions for testing with a variety of sensors and onboard computers to process and store the data. In the end, our UAVs were able to safely map large structures while providing real-time 3D mapping with centimeter-level accuracy, with the UAVs fully protected from damage for operator safety and equipment durability.

And many more…

Flyt has been involved in so many projects over the years we can’t list them all here. But a few of our other favorites include:

  • A search and destroy of enemy RF jammers to automatically locate jamming systems and eliminate them without human intervention

  • Reading remote sensors via UAV in rural areas

  • A remote controlled throwable ball for SOCOM

  • WiFi network creation for First Responders in remote areas (via UAV)

  • Self-stabilizing flying platform for transition from VTOL to forward flight

  • Remote controlled UGV for operation in snow and muddy terrains

  • Long-range, undetectable mesh communication network development for SOCOM communications in hostile environments
